Research expertise in the field of Anesthesiology and Chair of the Anesthesiology Research Committee.
Leads departmental research effort, mentors faculty, residents, and students in research and other scholarly activity. Supports the entrepreneurial mission of the institution as a senior scientist through the Artificial Pancreas Center with effort focused on seeking industry and federal grant support toward the development of innovative technologies in medicine.
Expertise in study design and biostatistics, small and large animals survival surgery. Current projects include clinical and laboratory protocols in drug development, closed loop glucose control and insulin delivery
