Research & Clinical Interest
Dr. Raphael is a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist focusing on providing anesthetic care to patients requiring cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical procedures. He also has extensive experience in caring for children requiring cardiac surgery for correction of congenital heart disease.
He is extensively involved with the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists and serves as the Chair of the Patient Blood Management of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists. His research focuses on aspects related to patient blood management in cardiac surgery as well as acute kidney surgery after cardiac surgery.
