Research Interests
Dr. Werner's primary research interests are related to educational strategies for the development of critical thinking and situational awareness in the realm of critical care medicine and rehabilitation.
She is certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Clinical Specialist in neurological physical therapy with clinical practice expertise in the area of neurologic critical care. As co-director of Clinical Education in TJU’s Department of Physical Therapy, her primary responsibilities are to serve as the liaison between the program and clinical education affiliates and cultivate sustained and mutually beneficial clinical partnerships while advocating for the student in both settings. This interest is further extended through her involvement in both local and national consortiums for clinical education in physical therapy.
