Biography
As Associate Dean for Strategic Development, Dr. Skoufalos is responsible for facilitating strategic external partnerships and collaborative initiatives for JCPH. She leads the team that implements the college’s professional development and consulting activities. She also serves as the inaugural program director for JCPH’s new online professional doctoral degree focused on advanced practice in population health.
Projects in her current portfolio include the Philadelphia Diabetes Prevention Collaborative, a regional effort funded by the American Medical Association and the Hearst Health Prize, an annual national competition to recognize outstanding achievement in Population Health.
In addition to her responsibilities at JCPH, she serves as co-chair of the Steering Committee for Jefferson Continuing Professional Development and is a member of the enterprise Innovation Evaluation Committee.
Dr. Skoufalos is co-editor of Health Care Quality: The Clinician’s Primer (2012) and Population Health: Creating a Culture of Wellness (3rd edition, 2020). She is an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Medical Quality and Population Health Management, and is a reviewer for American Journal of Managed Care, BMJ Open Quality Journal and Journal of Aging Research.
Dr. Skoufalos received a doctorate in Education (Organizational Leadership) and a Master’s degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University.
