BIOGRAPHY
Chika Odioemene has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Her academic credentials include a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from the College of Population Health, Thomas Jefferson University, a Master of Science in Nursing (Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University School of Nursing.
In her leadership roles, Chika served as the CEO and Founder of Utopian Healthcare; the Director of Quality and Patient Safety; and the Project Leader in facilitating system-wide quality and performance improvement initiatives. As a Lean Sigma Master Black Belt, Chika has a strong background in training and mentoring clinical staff in improvement methodologies. Other voluntary roles include an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) and Sterling Council; an education chair for the Board of the Georgia Association for Healthcare Quality; and a board member for The New School in Atlanta, GA. Chika is a fellow of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare and a certified professional in-patient safety.
As a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and healthcare quality improvement and patient safety expert, Chika has developed a wealth of skills that enable her to excel in strategic planning and execution, program management, teaching, clinical practices, and performance improvement training and coaching.
Chika is a passionate advocate for innovative designs to improve healthcare quality and patient safety globally. She is dedicated to promoting customer and team member centricity, systems thinking, improvement science, coaching, mentoring, and innovation in her work.
