Biography
Vanesa Karamanian is the Senior Director of Program Strategy and Integration at Health Promotion Council. In this role, she is responsible for leading the strategic development, administration, and integration of Health Promotion Council's portfolio of programs and services. Her professional background includes more than 15 years of combined experience in medical care, biomedical research and public health work in the areas of chronic disease, maternal and child health, food insecurity & nutrition, pulmonary hypertension and HIV/AIDS and syphilis in Latin America. In these capacities, she has worked with international and national healthcare systems, academic institutions and non-profit organizations.
Dr. Karamanian received her Medical Degree from Universidad Favaloro in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Master in Public Health with Global Health focus from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an Adjunct Fellow for the Center for Public Health Initiatives at The University of Pennsylvania.
