Public Health Programs Now STEM Eligible

Thomas Jefferson University, College of Population Health, Public Health programs received STEM-eligibility. STEM eligibility allows international students on an F-1 student status to apply for an additional two years of work authorization after an initial 12-month period of Post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the United States if they meet the required criteria.

With Jefferson’s location in Center City, Philadelphia, students are engaged in endless professional development opportunities. This new designation will help qualifying students prepare to have an impactful and rewarding career as a public health professional.  Students in all concentrations within the Master of Public Health degree may be eligible.
