Program Overview

The 56-credit Thomas Jefferson University PhD in Nursing/MPH dual degree program provides a novel approach preparing nurse scientists at the highest level of education to generate new scientific knowledge, address healthcare and public health issues, and educate the next generation of nurses. The program is embedded in an educational framework that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and reimagines education and discovery by encouraging collaboration among students during the formative stages of PhD education.

The dual degree program will provide advanced training in public health, with the goal of promoting wellness, assuring quality and addressing the social determinants of health in the healthcare setting and in the community.
