Thomas Jefferson University's College of Nursing named Apple Distinguished School

PHILADELPHIA, PA— Jefferson College of Nursing is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2021–2024 for its use of digital technologies to transform teaching and learning. Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence, using Apple technology to connect students to the world, fuel creativity, deepen collaboration, and make learning personal.

“Our commitment to digital technology innovation in the academic and clinical settings has been rooted in the belief that nurses of the future must excel in highly technological environments. This honor represents the fruit of our work,” said Dean Marie Ann Marino. “The selection of Jefferson College of Nursing as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success in creating an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement.”

This technology has improved access to healthcare for patients through telehealth, has increased patient access to health data, has transformed the way interprofessional healthcare teams communicate and collaborate and has immersed students in real-world scenarios both in classrooms and simulation centers.
