The Master of Science in Microbiology & Immunology Program offers choices for career specialization with flexible schedules, professional training for academic credit and academic preparation for national professional certification.
The broad-based curriculum includes a minimum of 40 credits. Course content includes:
- The biology of microorganisms
- Immunology
- Epidemiology
- Pathology
- Biostatistics
- Management
- Clerkship
- Master's research thesis or a capstone project
The program may be completed on a part-time or accelerated (coursework) schedule over a period of 1.5 to four years. Courses are offered late afternoon/early evening and meet once per week, allowing students the flexibility to work while taking classes or devote their full attention to their studies. Flexibility is the key.

PSM is a graduate/ professional degree grounded in science and designed for a variety of career options in business, government or non-profit organizations.
