Biography
Jennifer Lord, MA, CEM, MEP is an adjunct faculty member for the Thomas Jefferson University EDM program teaching the Disaster Exercise Design course. She also works as the Emergency Preparedness Program Manager for MultiCare Health System in Washington State. Jennifer has always had a focus on disaster exercise design, whether working as part of a healthcare coalition in the Pacific Northwest, or as a hospital Emergency Management Program Manager in Washington and Connecticut. Jennifer participated on the multi-state and international planning committee for the Cascadia Rising 2016 earthquake exercise for the greater Pacific Northwest area. She has designed and participated in multiple patient movement exercises with the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) and multiple hospital-level disaster exercises. Jennifer is a 2012 graduate of the Philadelphia University Masters in Disaster Medicine and Management program. Additionally, she holds a graduate certificate in Business Continuity also through the Philadelphia University DMM program. Jennifer is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) with the International Association of Emergency Managers and a Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) through FEMA's National Emergency Management Institute. Jennifer has been a frequent presenter at national level conferences speaking on a variety of topics in healthcare emergency management. Jennifer lives on an island north of Seattle, WA and loves everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer!
