Biography
Lindsay Berkheiser has over a decade of progressive leadership experience in healthcare. She started her career as a bedside nurse, but soon identified an opportunity to multiply her impact in healthcare and take on a more advanced role as the youngest Director of Clinical Services. In this dynamic role, she spearheaded several critical quality and safety initiatives. In addition, her passion for healthcare and public health preparedness was demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic and navigating the tenuous pandemic response inspired her to continue her education. She is a graduate of American Public University System with a dual Masters degrees in Emergency and Disaster Management and Homeland Security. Lindsay continues her career at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, a renowned academic medical center, with her focus on high consequence infectious disease preparedness as part of the National Special Pathogen System. This work provides her with the opportunity to partner with stakeholders at the local, state, and federal level and clinicians at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases. Lindsey believes that learning is a life-long endeavor in this spirit, she hopes to share her many passions and talents wih the next generation of healthcare and emergency mangement leaders.
