Meet Our Students: Morgan Kelly Hannan
Morgan is currently a senior in the landscape architecture program.
Where are you from originally?
Williamstown, New Jersey
Why did you choose Jefferson?
I chose Jefferson after meeting with Kim Douglas personally and seeing the kind of work she was creating with her students. I immediately wanted to be a part of it and was drawn to the community engagement aspect of it. Urban design is not something I immediately thought I would be drawn to but once I was exposed to it, I knew it was what I want to do in my profession.
What is the best part of your studies?
The best part of my studies is the opportunity to express my creativity as freely as I desire. Combining my creative side with my science side is the prefect balance for me and something I always wanted to do but did not know was possible until I found landscape architecture.
What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?
I went to two different colleges before I started at Thomas Jefferson University. I was an environmental science major and a health major before discovering what landscape architecture was. Ever since then, I was hooked.
