Meet Our Student: Liz Kane
Liz Kane (she/her) is a Masters of Interior Architecture student and 2nd place winner in the 2022 HOK Futures Challenge.
Why did you choose Jefferson?
I really felt that Jefferson’s program would be a great fit for me. I was excited to refine my technical knowledge and skills and be mentored by Jefferson’s accredited faculty.
Where are you from originally?
I grew up in West Chester, PA but have called Philly home for over 7 years now!
What is the best part of your studies?
I love learning something new and challenging myself to create different designs with each studio project.
What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?
I have a 1.5-year-old French bulldog, Rocky, who was actually named after the Rocky Mountains not Philadelphia legend Rocky Balboa.
Tell us about a project you’re working on or award/honor you’ve recently received.
My classmate Ang and I recently won 2nd place in HOK’s Futures Design Challenge. We had two weeks to design an urban winery along the Schuylkill River in Manayunk. It was fun to apply what we’ve learned in our classes and create a really bold, out-of-the-box design.
