BS in Construction Recently Accredited by ABET
Following a rigorous self-evaluation and a visit from an ABET evaluation team last October, the BS in Construction Management program recently completed the process for obtaining ABET accreditation. ABET accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology, ensuring graduates are qualified and prepared to enter their chosen field.
“We are very proud of the achievements of our students and faculty,” said Barbara Klinkhammer, Dean of the College of Architecture and the Built Environment. “This accreditation, in addition to our industry-focused curriculum, solidifies our status as a top program for students interested in studying construction management.”
Jefferson’s construction management programs emphasize the importance of collaboration between business and design and bring invaluable real-world experience to the classroom, teaching technical skills, decision-making techniques and the principles of environmental sustainability.
Students learn from faculty who are leading the industry. Philadelphia is home to many large construction companies offering a multitude of internship opportunities, in addition to a robust study-abroad program.
