TEACHING & ADVISING

Dr. Zamora is an Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Advisor in the Construction Management program. Dr. Zamora teaches Construction Accounting and Cost Control, Construction Surveying, Estimating and Scheduling, Construction Environmental Management, Construction Safety and Risk Management, Advanced Project Management, and Masters’ Project. She advises undergraduates, Masters’ projects, and internships. She is the CM department faculty internship advisor and works directly with industry to bridge new internship connections. She is the faculty advisor for the Jefferson Society of Construction Managers. 

Biography

Dr. Zamora is locally from the suburbs of Philadelphia and has worked and lived in this region her whole life. During her extensive career as a construction professional, she gained diverse experience in building in public housing, healthcare, life sciences, industrial, data centers, commercial buildings, higher education, assisted living, lifestyle housing & tenant fit outs in the Philadelphia Region. She focused mainly on project management at numerous companies: Intech, Lend Lease, The Norwood Company, Philadelphia Housing Authority, WS Cumby, and Torcon. She is the owner of a consulting company doing project management work part time for various clients. Most of her project management career was spent leading project teams as a senior project manager for all aspects of construction from conception to building turnover. 

Dr. Zamora’s research focuses on materials management in the built environment using the tools of Industrial Ecology. She has published studies for construction material stock and flow of urban buildings in the University City section of Philadelphia in the Journal of Industrial Ecology and Frontiers of the Built Environment. 

She has been a LEED Accredited Professional BD+C since 2007. Dr. Zamora is an active member of General Builders and Contractors Association (GBCA), Philadelphia Women in Construction (Committee Member), and Greenbuild United (Philadelphia chapters). She was recently appointed to the 2024 Greenbuild Host Committee and will chair the Volunteers and Greening Subcommittee.
