U.S. News & World Report Ranks College of Nursing’s BSN Program Among Top 6% in Nation
Thomas Jefferson University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program soared to No. 39, according to the just-released U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Colleges rankings. Climbing 28 spots, the program now ranks in the top 6% of the country.
“At Jefferson College of Nursing, our high rankings aren’t just numbers; they’re a testament to the exceptional caliber of our faculty, staff and the outstanding quality of students we attract,” says Dean Dr. Marie Ann Marino. “We take pride in fostering an inclusive environment of excellence and innovation, empowering our students to become nurse leaders who will transform healthcare in the communities they serve.”
U.S. News surveyed deans and faculty members to rate the academic quality of peer institutions. To be included in the rankings, schools must be accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing at the bachelor’s level or be a regionally accredited institution that has awarded at least 40 BSN degrees.
Jefferson also rose in several other prominent categories, according to U.S. News, including to No. 136 for overall rank–national universities (top 31% in the country); to No. 36 for best value schools (top 17% in the country); and to No. 152 for best colleges for veterans.
“These rankings represent the stellar work of our faculty and staff to ensure student success,” says University President Dr. Susan Aldridge. “When students leave Jefferson, we’re confident they’re ready and adaptable for the future of work or to continue their studies in their chosen field. And the College of Nursing ranking is a well-deserved distinction for this exceptional program.”
