To be considered by the Alumni Awards Committee for the 2025 Alumni Awards, nomination materials must be received by midnight on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

SKMC Alumni Achievement Award

The Alumni Achievement Award was established in 1964 to recognize the outstanding and distinguished professional achievements of medical college alumni.

To submit a nomination for the Alumni Achievement Award, please include a curriculum vitae, résumé or biography, along with a letter of nomination explaining the nominee’s professional achievements, including significant scientific, academic, professional, entrepreneurial or industry contributions to medicine or science. Please also highlight the impact of the nominee's career on the assurance of equitable healthcare within all communities while working to reduce disparity in the care provided.

SKMC Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 2017 to recognize alumni posthumously for a lifetime of distinguished and outstanding achievements and contributions to their profession and/or field of interest, and for contributions benefiting their community and humanity. 

To submit a nomination for the Distinguished Alumni Award, please include a biography, along with a letter of nomination, explaining the nominee’s professional achievements and lifetime of work, including any record of contributions in a specific field; any record of humanitarian, human welfare or social reforms or contributions; and any recognized acts of bravery or public recognition wherein the individual acted above and beyond action expected in the situation. Please also highlight the impact of the nominee's career on the assurance of equitable healthcare within all communities while working to reduce disparity in the care provided.

SKMC Early Career Alumni Award

The Early Career Alumni Award was established in 2020 to recognize alumni who are 10-20 years out from graduation for their outstanding early career achievements and demonstrated strong potential to be future leaders in their chosen specialty. 

To submit a nomination for the Early Career Alumni Award, please include a curriculum vitae, résumé or biography, along with a letter of nomination explaining the nominee’s significant achievements in medicine and/or academics, including leadership, clinical excellence, publishing, teaching, mentoring, and/or volunteerism. Please also highlight the impact of the nominee's career on the assurance of equitable healthcare within all communities while working to reduce disparity in the care provided.

Postgraduate Alumni Award

The Postgraduate Alumni Award was established in 2025 to recognize the outstanding and distinguished professional achievements of postgraduate alumni who completed their training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and/or affiliate training programs (program/training need not be ACGME approved) provided they meet the established criteria. 

To submit a nomination for the Postgraduate Alumni Award, please include a curriculum vitae, résumé or biography, along with a letter of nomination explaining the nominee’s significant achievements in medicine and/or academics, including leadership, clinical excellence, publishing, teaching, mentoring, and/or volunteerism. Please also highlight the impact of the nominee's career on the assurance of equitable healthcare within all communities while working to reduce disparity in the care provided.
