Diversity at Jefferson: Supporting the LGBTQ Community

Philadelphia was one of the first cities with a gay pride parade, and today the parade begins in Jefferson’s Center City Campus. Rooted in a diverse LGBTQ-friendly area, Jefferson celebrates the richness in human differences and is continuously working towards building a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

Join Jefferson alumni for an online presentation by Bernie Lopez, MD ‘86, Associate Dean for Diversity and Community Engagement at SKMC and Associate Provost for Diversity and Inclusion at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Lopez will discuss the unique challenges and health issues facing the LGBTQ+ population and the current focused efforts underway at Jefferson to support the LGBTQ community, including the recently launched LGBTQ+ Health Champions workgroup.
