Danielle M. Tholey, MD '11, Residency '14

Danielle Tholey, MD ’11, Residency ’14, is a Transplant Hepatologist at Thomas Jefferson University and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College. She completed both medical school and Internal Medicine residency at Jefferson Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

After residency, Dr. Tholey completed fellowships in both Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Oregon Health and Sciences University and Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Currently, Dr. Tholey is medical director of the Live Donor Liver Transplant program at Jefferson and Associate Program Director of the Transplant Hepatology fellowship.

She is passionate about medical education and is a course instructor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Her clinical and research interests include living donor liver transplantation, post liver transplant outcomes, and liver disease of pregnancy.
