Crystal Kraft, PhD, received her PhD in Cell & Developmental Biology from Thomas Jefferson University College of Life Sciences in 2016, where she investigated intestinal stem cell biology under the direction of Dr. Scott Waldman.

With the intention of transitioning out of the lab immediately after graduate school, she pursued numerous extracurricular activities in science communication and outreach during her graduate training.

Dr. Kraft transitioned directly into industry where she has since held several scientific support roles in project management, business development, and medical communications. Currently, she is a medical writer developing hematologic oncology content for various audiences.
